Our lawyers recently defeated an employer's motion for summary judgment in an employment discrimination case involving race discrimination and retaliation. The case is pending in Connecticut federal court. Like many employment discrimination cases, the employer filed a motion for summary judgment arguing that based upon certain undisputed facts, no jury could reasonably find discrimination or retaliation and therefore judgment for the employer should enter as a matter law. It is our job to develop the necessary evidence to defeat the motion for summary judgment and present the evidence to the court by way of an objection to the motion for summary judgment. By defeating summary judgment, our client gets to have a jury decide her case.
